What Is Colon Cancer?

Posted on | Sunday, December 25, 2011 | No Comments

Colorectal Cancer is the abnormal growth of cells or tumor formation in the giant intestine (massive bowel or colon) and the rectum. These cells can spread (metastasize) and damage other tissues or organs in the body; thus, often called cancer cells. Fundamentally, the colon serves as storage site for the feces before being excreted from the body, while the rectum is the distal finish of the colon that is adjoining to the anus. These structures of the digestive tract are the main sites for Colorectal Cancer, but cancer cells can also metastasize to the liver, lungs and other vital organs. Consequently, injury to the different body organs caused by cancer cells leads to several organ dysfunctions that can result to a person's death.

According to the World Health Organization (WHO), cancer is of the leading causes of death across the globe, in Western countries such as the United States. In fact, in year 2008, 13 percent (13%) or 7.6 million of the total deaths of people worldwide is due to cancer. Among over hundred types of malignancies, Colorectal Cancer lands at the fourth spot of the most common cancers among men and ladies.

The most common causes of cancer are as follows
• genetic or hereditary origin;
• High dietary fat intake;
• low-fiber diet (low vegetable and fruit consumption)
• polyps (non-cancerous tumor) that are not removed from the colon; and
• Ulcerative colitis

Studies revealed that people with relatives history of colon cancer are high risk of developing the disease. Another cause of colon cancer is high overweight dietary intake. Various researches show that the metabolism (breakdown) of fats results to the production of free radicals or carcinogens, which are substances that cause cancer. Meanwhile, low fiber dietary intake is usually associated with poor bowel movement resulting to diminished ability of the body to eliminate waste products including carcinogens. Cancer in the colon and rectum is also believed to be a complication of Chronic Ulcerative Colitis (bowel inflammatory disease) and polyps that have not been removed.

An individual with colon and rectal cancer will experience signs and symptoms that are also commonly observed to other bowel disorders and some of which are non-specific. These manifestations include:
• diarrhea (constipation and stool reduced if the tumor obstructs passageway for feces);
• abdominal pain, bloating or cramps;
• sudden weight loss
• fresh or old red blood, dark blood in stools leading to anemia
• body weakness or fatigue; and
• Shortness of breath

Hence, specific diagnostic exams are conducted to select presence of colon cancer such as GI series and Colonoscopy. The confirmatory check for cancer is biopsy. This procedure is completed by taking sample tissues from the colon in the coursework of colonoscopy and studying them through a microscope. Then, another series of diagnostic exams including chest x-ray, ultrasonography of the whole abdomen or CAT scan of the lungs and abdomen are performed to confirm spread of colon cancer cells to other organs in the body. Carcinoembryonic antigen (CEA), a cancer marker may even be used to select cancer metastasis through blood check.

Moreover, the most definitive treatment for colorectal cancer is surgical procedure, in which the affected bowel is cut and removed and the unaffected parts are connected. Chemotherapy and radiotherapy may even be part of the treatment plan depending on the stage of cancer.

In general, there's treatments for colorectal cancer, but they are merely intended to relieve the signs and palliative signs. Regrettably, cancer remains incurable. A person can live for months or years after the diagnosis of cancer, but is always in danger of premature death, even in the presence of a palliative treatment. Like all other types of cancer, having colon cancer is a sobering diagnosis. However, awareness of the disease is what makes people more alert about health issues.

Cancer alert Spine and Paralysis

Posted on | Wednesday, December 21, 2011 | No Comments

Cancer of the spine requires urgent attention. If left untreated, cancer cells can damage the spine bones (vertebrae), causing enormous pain, and also, the instability of the spine.
In some cases, the collapse of the vertebrae are very likely to occur. When this happens, the cancer mass can press the spinal cord or spinal nerves, causing pain, paralysis, sensory failure, and loss of bowel or bladder control.
Cancer of the spine can be very painful in the final stages. For patients who experience symptoms, understand and choose the most appropriate treatment options can be very stressful and confusing. "
Depending on the type and stage of cancer of the spine, various forms of treatment modalities available today, ranging from chemotherapy and radiotherapy are aimed at destroying the cancer cells to surgical treatment.
When combined together, surgery plus radiotherapy can potentially provide the best outcome for some patients.
Spine cancer symptoms include mild to excruciating pain, usually pain that can wake you from sleep. Sometimes, this type of pain can be mistaken for arthritis or muscle spasms.
Cancer of the spine can result in patients having the nerve is compressed or (compression) the spinal cord (spine) bone to be destroyed from cancer and can not hold the body upright man again.
"This causes the patient to move, (either) of pain or paralysis due to compression of the spinal cord.
"They also can feel a lot of pain and patients have very poor quality of life," explains Dr. Hisam.
Moreover, if the cancer is detected late, and it is in advanced stages, surgery is usually not recommended by doctors. The best treatment at this point is to keep the pain management and patient as comfortable as possible. He added that he advocated improving the quality of life of patients, which should be a priority for caregivers of patients.

Recognize Early Symptoms of Breast Cancer

Posted on | Wednesday, December 7, 2011 | No Comments

Breast cancer is a malignant tumor that grows in the breast tissue. Cancer can begin to grow in the milk glands, milk ducts, fatty tissue and connective tissue in the breast.

Risk Factors
Some of the factors that influence risk are:

  1. The age factor. About 60% of breast cancers occur in over 60 years. The greatest risk found in women aged over 75 years.
  2. Ever had breast cancer. After the affected breast removed, then the risk of breast cancer in a healthy increase of 0.5-1% / year.
  3. Family history of breast cancer. Women who are mothers, sisters or children suffering from cancer, had a three times greater risk for breast cancer.
  4. Genetic and hormonal factors.
  5. Had suffered from non-cancerous breast disease.
  6. Menarche (first menstruation) before age 12, menopause after age 55 years, first pregnancy after age 30 years or had never been pregnant.
  7. Use of birth control pills or estrogen replacement therapy.
  8. Obesity after menopause.
  9. The use of alcohol more than 1-2 cups / day can increase the risk of breast cancer.
  10. Of chemicals. Several studies have mentioned the chemical exposure that mimic estrogens (contained in pesticides and other industrial products) may increase the risk of breast cancer.
  11. DES (diethylstilbestrol). Women who took DES to prevent miscarriage have a higher risk of breast cancer.

Symptoms of Lupus Disease

Posted on | Friday, November 25, 2011 | 4 Comments

symptoms of lupus diseaseLupus is a deadly new disease equivalent to cancer. Not a few people with this disease can not be helped anymore, the world's people with lupus detected reached 5 million people, more than 100 thousand new cases occur each year.

Own sense of the word lupus is Latin for "coyotes". This term began to be known about a century ago. Initially, patients with this disease have abnormalities of the skin, in the form of redness around the nose and cheeks. Red blotches on the face and arms, heat and prolonged fatigue, hair loss, swollen joints and often arise sprue. This disease not only affects the skin, but also can affect almost every organ in the body.

Symptoms - symptoms of this disease is known as Systemic Lupus Eritomatosus (LES). Eritomatosus means reddish, whereas significant widespread control every aspect of systemic organs.

Symptoms Lupus

1. The skin is easily burned by the sun and the incidence of digestive disorders.

2. Symptoms generally sufferers often feel weak, excessive fatigue, fever and aches. These symptoms are mainly found in the active period, whereas during remission (inactive) did not feel the symptoms again.

3. In the skin, it would appear that ran a red rash on both cheeks, like a butterfly. Sometimes called the (butterfly rash). However, disc-like red rash may appear on the skin throughout the body, prominent and sometimes scaly. Seeing the many symptoms of this disease, the woman who was attacked by two or more symptoms alone, should be suspected of having lupus.

4. Anemia caused by red blood cells are destroyed by this lupus

5. Hair loss and fatigue often excessive

In pregnancies of women who suffer from lupus, often believed to be related to pregnancy that causes abortion, fetal development or the baby died at birth. But the opposite is also possible or even worsen the symptoms of lupus. Lupus symptoms appear frequently encountered during pregnancy or after childbirth.

The body has immunity to attack the disease and keeping healthy. However, in this disease actually attacks the immune system healthy organ. Lupus disease allegedly related to the immunological system of the excess. In one's body that functions contained antibodies that would attack the source of the disease enters the body. Uniquely, this lupus antibodies formed in the body appears excessive. The result, antibodies actually attack the cells of a healthy body tissue. This disorder is called autoimmunity. This excess antibody, can enter the entire network in two ways:

  • First, antibodies can directly attack this strange body tissue, such as red blood cells which causes the cell to be destroyed. This is what lead to the sufferer of red blood cell deficiency or anemia.
  • Second, antibodies can be joined with an antigen (a substance stimulating the formation of antibodies), forming a bond called immune complexes. Combined antibody and antigen flow with blood, until caught in the capillary blood vessels will cause inflammation. Under normal circumstances, the complex will be limited by inflammatory cells (phagocytes) However, in abnormal circumstances, this complex can not be restricted as well. In fact, inflammatory cells had increased a lot, removing enzymes, which cause inflammation around the complex. The result, the process will be prolonged inflammation and damage organs and interfere with its function. Furthermore, it will be seen as a symptom of disease. If this happens, then the long-term organ function will be disrupted.
Complete recovery from this disease, it seems difficult. Physicians were more focused on the medication that is temporary. More focused on preventing the spread of disease and are not attacking the vital organs.

What causes lupus?
The precise reason for the abnormal autoimmunity that causes lupus is unknown. Inherited genes, viruses, ultraviolet light, and certain drugs may all play some role.

Genetic factors increase the likelihood of developing autoimmune diseases, and autoimmune diseases such as lupus, rheumatoid arthritis, and autoimmune thyroid disorders more common among relatives with lupus than the general population. Some scientists believe that the immune system in lupus is more easily stimulated by external factors like viruses or ultraviolet light. Sometimes, symptoms of lupus can be precipitated or aggravated by only a brief period of sun exposure.

It is well known that some women with SLE can experience worsening of their symptoms before their menstrual period. This phenomenon, together with the predominance of SLE in women, suggesting that female hormones play an important role in the expression of SLE. This hormonal relationship is an active area of research done by scientists.

More recently, studies have shown evidence that a key enzyme's failure to dispose of dead cells may contribute to the development of SLE. The enzyme, DNase1, normally eliminates the so-called "junk DNA" and other cellular debris by chopping them into tiny fragments for easier disposal. The researchers turned off the DNase1 gene in mice. The mice appeared healthy at birth, but after six to eight months, the majority of mice without DNase1 showed signs of SLE. Thus, genetic mutations in genes that can disrupt the body's waste disposal cells may be involved in the initiation of SLE.

Things that can cause disease relapse:
- Avoid stress
- Keeping order is not directly exposed to sunlight
- Reduce the excessive workload
- Avoid the use of certain drugs

Skin Cancer and Alternative

Basal cell carcinoma is the most common kind of skin cancer and accounts for over 90% of all skin cancer in the U.S. These cancers  never spread (metastasize) to other parts of the body. They can, however, cause destroy by growing and invading surrounding tissue. Squamous cell carcinoma is cancer that begins in the squamous cells, which are narrow, flat cells that look like fish scales under the microscope. Squamous cells are present in the tissue that forms the surface of the skin, the lining of the hollow organs of the body, and the passages of the respiratory and digestive tracts. Thus, squamous cell carcinomas can actually arise in any of these tissues. Squamous cell carcinoma of the skin occurs roughly one-quarter as often as basal cell carcinoma.

It is estimated that over one million new cases occur yearly. It's also been estimated that  half of all Americans who live to age 65 will create skin cancer at least one time. The most common forms of skin cancer are basal cell carcinoma and squamous cell carcinoma. They account for about 96% of all diagnosed skin cancers. Together, these are also known as nonmelanoma skin cancer.

But, Mohs surgical procedure is not the only way to successfully treat skin cancers? Surgical procedure on the nose, ears, eyelids or lips may cause disfigurement or require reconstructive surgical procedure under a general anesthetic to maintain the natural appearance. Brachytherapy with the Flexitron process is an effective alternative treatment for BCC (Basel Cell Carcinoma) and SCC (Squamous Cell Carcinoma) skin cancer and avoids the necessity for reconstructive surgical procedure. It also has its advantages over surgical procedure for patients with a huge number of lesions, elderly patients, or patients who are otherwise inoperable, and advantages over outside beam radiotherapy as it requires shorter treatment times and less side effects.

A surgical process that is often used to treat nonmelanoma skin cancer is called Mohs surgical procedure. This highly specialized surgical process involves first removing the visible tumor and then successive layers of skin after the other until microscopic examination no longer reveals cancer cells. This surgical procedure is performed while the patient is under local anesthesia. Removing and examining each layer takes about hour, with much of this time spent taking a look at the removed skin. When completed, the surgical wound is treated as needed. The treatment can include closing the wound with stitches, covering the surgical site with skin from another area of the body (skin graft), and moving healthy skin from a nearby area to cover the surgical wound (skin flap).

Seminal vesicles are attached to the prostate and produce material that mixes with prostatic liquid to form semen. The tubes from the testicles carryover sperm to the prostate, which mixes with the seminal liquid and is ejaculated in the work of orgasm.

The prostate is a gland in the male reproductive technique. It is located below the bladder and wraps around the urethra. The prostate gland measures 3-4 cm long and 3-5 cm in width. On average, the prostate gland weighs twenty grams. The prostate consists of about 30% muscular tissue while the remaining is glandular tissue.

The prostate may increase in size as age progresses. This condition is called benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH). Over 40% of men have an enlarged prostate by the age of 70. Enlargement of the prostate causes it to press against the urethra and weaken the flow of urine. An increase in size may indicate the condition of benign prostatic hyperplasia or a urologic condition. It require not necessarily indicate the growth of cancer cells. Benign prostatic hyperplasia does not increase the risk of prostate cancer but indicates the likelihood of occurrence.

common diseases of the prostate are benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), prostates and prostate cancer. Each condition affects the prostate differently.

The male sex hormone, testosterone, plays an important part in the normal growth and function of the prostate gland. The testicles produce testosterone and is a concern for those diagnosed with hormone-dependent prostate cancer. As long as testosterone is produced, prostate cancer is likely to grow and spread throughout the body.

sphincter. It does not contain any glands and hence cancer or enlargement does not usually create there. It is essential to contact a urologist in case experiences the signs to make positive early preventive care.

The prostate has various concentric zones, known as the anterior fibromuscular stroma, peripheral zone, central zone and transition zone. A doctor can examine the peripheral zone by inserting a finger in the rectum. Benign prostatic hyperplasia develops in the transition zone and grows in size. The anterior fibromuscular stroma is the anchoring point of the urethra

Lung Cancer

Lung Carcinoma
Lung Cancer (Lung Carcinoma)

Most cases of lung cancer found an bronkogenik carcinoma, namely carcinomas derived from epithelial cells of bronchus (bronchus) in the lungs. This type of lung cancer are more common in men and generally attacks the age group 40 years and over, but sometimes found at a younger age.

Today, the frequency of lung cancer is increasing worldwide. It is associated with higher air pollution and cigarette use. The risk of smokers to lung cancer patients depending on the number of cigarettes smoked each day yabg, levels of nicotine contained in cigarettes, it's sucking cigarettes, and age began smoking. Here are the most susceptible smokers lung cancer:

  1. Smokers over 40 years, especially if it begins to smoke less than 15 years.
  2. Smoking one pack per day.
  3. Had been addicted to cigarettes for 20 years.

Carcinogenic substances contained in cigarettes will stick to and irritate the bronchial mucosa and bronchial mucosa eventually become corrupted so that the potential to become carcinoma. Pollutants on cigarettes is also harmful to those who participated inhale cigarette smoke around the smokers (passive smokers).

Other risk factors that could encourage the formation of lung cancer and air pollution from industrial pollutants, such as contact with asbestos, arsenic, nickel, iron steam, dimethyl sulfate, vinilklorida, chromium, uranium, coal dust, and radioactive dust. Moreover, the lineage that suffers lung cancer, can be a risk factor for lung cancer.

Symptoms of lung cancer depends on the location of growth and rate of spread Tumo. The most common early symptoms are irritating cough, sometimes accompanied by blood mucus, and coughing up blood. However, these symptoms are not typical symptoms. Many cases of lung cancer who show no symptoms. Shortness of breath, hoarseness, weakness, loss of weight quickly, anorexia, swelling of the neck, and face, a symptom of an advanced stage.

Lung cancer can spread throughout the body, especially to the brain, liver, bone marrow, and bone. To avoid the occurrence of lung cancer, the following preventive measures that can be done.
  • Avoid smoking and begin to stop when they have been smoking.
  • Avoid participate smoke cigarettes (passive smoking).
  • For those who work in industries that produce carcinogenic pollutant should pay attention to health and safety.

Symptoms and Causes of Ovarian Cancer

Symptoms and Causes of Ovarian Cancer
Ovarian Cancer (Carcinoma of the Ovary)
This cancer attacks the ovaries, the female organs that produce estrogen and progesterone. Prognosis depends on the type of cancer staged, but generally poor. This is because most tumors grow and spread to surrounding organs without showing the initial symptoms are apparent. Therefore, ovarian carcinoma was found at an advanced stage. There are three types of ovarian carcinoma was found at an advanced stage. There are three types of ovarian carcinoma, namely:

  • Primary epithelial tumors (tumors serosum, musinosum tumors, endometrioid carcinoma, clear cell tumors, Brenner tumors, undifferentiated carcinoma). This type of tumor with the highest incidence of about 85%, more prevalent at age 50 years or more.
  • Germ Cell Tumors (Dysgerminoma, endodermal sinus tumor, embryonal carcinoma, choriocarcinoma, teratoma). More common in younger women or children
  • Sex-cord stromal tumors (granulosa cell tumors, androblastoma, ginandroblastoma, fibroma).

As with other types of cancer, ovarian cancer is not known with certainty, but there are some risk factors that could cause this cancer. The following are risk factors.
  • A history of the family who had suffered from ovarian cancer, breast, and uterus / womb.
  • Infertility (barren), had never been pregnant, and unmarried.
  • Women over age 50.
  • The presence of pollutants asbestos, talcum, and pollutants industrilainya.
  • High fat diet.

In general, ovarian cancer is growing and develops quietly without showing clinical symptoms until at a certain stage, but some patients in early stages of stomach disorders vague. After the tumors grow and enlarge micturition disorders may occur, such as frequent urination due to tumor pressure on urinary vesicles and recto-sigmoid, pelvic did not taste good, weight loss, lumps that can be palpated through the abdominal wall, stomach ache and swell due to there is fluid in the abdominal cavity, vaginal bleeding, and painful intercourse. If the cancer breaks will occur the infection that causes pain such as pain appendicitis (appendicitis). Granulose cell tumors in patients with young age that speeds the growth of secondary sex, such as enlarged breasts with colostrum.

Here are some things you can do to prevent ovarian cancer

  • Avoiding industrial pollutants, like asbestos, and talcum.
  • Avoid using talcum powder and deodorant spray on the genital area, such as the groin.
  • Avoid high fat foods.
  • In women the risk inggi yabg have a family history of ovarian cancer, uterine, and breast are prohibited from using contraceptives containing oral contraceptives or hormone injections or pills.
  • Perform periodic health checks, especially for those at high risk.

Symptoms and Causes of Cervical Cancer

Cervical Cancer
Cervical cancer (cervix uteri carcinoma)
This attack cervical cancer, namely the transition of the uterus into the hole intercourse (vagina) and the type of cancer that ranks first against women. In general, patients with cervical cancer in Indonesia after the advanced stage of the new treatment so difficult because at this stage ginaekolog can only alleviate the suffering. In developed countries, cases of cervical cancer has declined somewhat. This is because the efforts of secondary prevention and early detection through pap smear programs are carried out periodically and regularly.

Pap smear is a microscopic examination of tissue from the cervix uteri that can detect cancer cells. The combination of pap smear and colposcopy (observation Vagina) is a diagnostic tool in detecting early cervical cancer. This cancer began to be discovered at the age of 25-34 years, peak at age 45-54 years.

In general, cervical cancer is classified into two, namely preinvasif cervical cancer and invasive cervical cancer. Cervical cancer begins preinvasif of abnormal changes, at least until the change of cervical cells that cover cervical cancer is abnormal. Preinvasif Cervical cancer is most likely (75-90%) can be cured if found early and appropriate treatment. If left untreated will turn into an invasive cancer seriks difficult to cure. Invasive cervical cancer, the cancer cells that have penetrated the deepest part of the cervical tissue and has spread to other tissues via the lymph vessels.

Symptoms of cervical cancer depend on the rate of growth (stage). In the early stages often causes no symptoms at all, unless the complaint due to infection, such as vaginal discharge. Sometimes found any vaginal bleeding outside of menstruation, pains bleeding after sexual intercourse, and infection of the urinary tract and bladder. At an advanced stage resulting in pelvic pain, bleeding like dishwater and smelled fishy daing, loss of appetite, weight loss, anemia due to bleeding, and fistula arising vesikovaginal or rectovaginal fistula.

The cause of cervical cancer is not known with certainty, but it is thought about 95% by a similar virus human papilloma virus (HPV). This virus can be transmitted through sexual intercourse. In addition, there are some risk factors that lead to cancer of the cervix. The following factors trigger cervical cancer:

  • Having sex at a young age (less than 20 years)
  • Frequent change of sexual partner
  • Pregnancy repeatedly (often birth)
  • Viral and bacterial infections (herpes simplex virus and papilloma virus)
  • Smoking (as a predisposing factor), nicotine and other substances contained in cigarettes may interfere with cervical epithelial cells

Although the cause of this cancer is unknown, but there are some precautions to prevent cervical cancer. The following preventive measures:

  • Avoid sexual intercourse at a young age
  • Faithful to your partner, do not have multiple sexual partners
  • Maintain cleanliness of equipment you and your partner genital
  • For women who have sexual relationships and childbearing, it is recommended to do the pap smear once a year.
  • Eat a nutritious and balanced

Factors Causing Leukemia Cells

Posted on | Thursday, August 4, 2011 | No Comments

What factors causing leukemia cells? Leukemia is a malignant neoplasm of white blood cells (leukocytes) are characterized by an abnormal increase in white blood cells in the bloodstream. The occurrence of the production of white blood cells that are still young with a fast, redundant, and do not work. These cells are progressive infiltrate into the body tissues, especially in the bone marrow. This resulted in the bone marrow is damaged and loses its function to make red blood cells (erythrocytes), normal white blood cells, and platelets. As a result of the failure to make red blood cells so can lead to anemia. The lack of white blood cells can lead to a decrease in immunity to infection and voiding the production of platelets which can cause bleeding.

Factors Causing Leukemia Cells
Basically, there are four types of leukemia, chronic lymphocytic leukemia is acute, acute myelogenous leukemia, chronic lymphocytic leukemia, chronic myelogenous leukemia. The cells of chronic leukemia tend to be more mature than the cells of acute leukemia (life expectancy is greater than acute leukemia). Myelogenous leukemia involves granulocytes, whereas lymphocytic leukemia involves lymphocytes.
Acute lymphocytic leukemia is more common in children, whereas acute myelogenous leukemia can descend all ages.

Causes of acute leukemia is not known with certainty, but likely factors driving force is a combination of viral genetic, immunologic factors, not resistant to radiation and some chemicals. Symptoms that can occur in acute leukemia, namely: the abnormal bleeding such as nosebleeds, bleeding gums, easy bruising, a red and dark brown spots, anemia, weight loss, the body feels uncomfortable, weak, tired, lose energy, heart rate quick, on bone or stomach pain, pale and prone to infection.

Typically, chronic leukemia occur in adults between the ages of 45-60 years. In chronic lymphocytic leukemia characterized by the uncontrolled spread of small and abnormal lymphocytes in lymphoid tissues, blood and bone marrow. In leukemia have an abnormal accumulation of mature B cells, but there is a rare form of leukemia that involves T cells called T-cell leukemia. Chronic lymphocytic leukemia is the most mild type of leukemia, are benign and slow development, and survival can be more than 10 years. Symptoms of chronic lymphocytic leukemia are anemic, always feeling tired, the body feels uncomfortable, fever, enlarged lymph nodes, and are particularly susceptible to infection. The cause of leukemia is not known for certain, but genetic factors (heredity) play a role.

Chronic myelogenous leukemia is also called chronic leukemia granulositik. In these conditions, granulocytes (white blood cells containing granules) had abnormal cleavage in the bone marrow and in tissues. This type of leukemia was held in two phases, namely: chronic and acute phases. In the chronic phase of an increase in the number of granulocytes, anemia, weight loss, fever, and enlarged spleen. In the acute phase of rapid cleavage occurs in cells of immature granulocytes. Usually, at this phase the patient may die. Granulositik chronic leukemia patients may survive long enough if the acute phase can be avoided through chemotherapy.

Symptoms and Treatment of Breast Cancer

breast cancer
Symptoms of breast cancer we need to watch out, because for the treatment of breast cancer is not easy. Do not underestimate the symptoms of breast cancer. If not treated immediately it will result in death. Spare our breasts with maintaining diet and lifestyle. Breast cancer is a malignancy that originated from cells in the breast. This mainly affects women, but did not rule occurs also in men.

Symptoms and Signs

Early symptoms include a lump usually feels different than the surrounding breast tissue, painless and usually have an irregular edge.

In the early stages, when driven by a finger, a lump can be moved easily under the skin. In later stages, the lump usually adheres to the chest wall or skin around it. In advanced cancer, can form a swollen lump or breast skin ulcers. Sometimes the skin over the lump shrank and looked like an orange peel.

Other symptoms that may be found a lump in the armpit, change size or shape of the breast, an abnormal discharge from the nipple (usually bloody or yellow to green, may also be pus), change in color or texture of the skin on the breast, nipple and areola (dark brown colored area around the nipple), breast looks red, the skin around the nipple scaly, nipples are interested in or feel itching, breast tenderness or swelling of one breast. At an advanced stage may develop bone pain, weight loss, swelling of arms or ulcerated skin.

Eczema or erosion of the nipple. Attracted into the skin or nipple (retraction), pink or brownish to become edema that causes the orange peel, wrinkle and become ulcers. Ulcers enlarged and deep until he could damage the breast. Foul and bloody. Other features is the occurrence of bleeding in the nipple. Pain / pain when the tumor is large and ulcers arise. Then there is enlargement of the axillary lymph nodes, swelling of the arm. Then there was the spread of cancer throughout the body. Advanced breast cancer is very easily identified. Namely the existence of the breast skin is quite extensive. Edema of the arms, far metastases, ulceration of skin, skin edema, skin fixed. The existence of axillary lymph nodes.

Lymph system is one of the main ways to spread breast cancer. Breast cancer cells can enter lymphatic vessels and begin to grow in the lymph nodes. If breast cancer cells have reached the lymph vessels in the armpit (axilaris node), the sign is swelling of lymph nodes in the armpit. When this occurs it is likely that cancer cells also enter the bloodstream and spread to other organs. This can affect cancer treatment options from your doctor.
