9 Myths and Facts About Popular Moisturizers

You may often hear a lot of myths from mouth to mouth on the skin moisturized. But myth is a myth. Here are nine myths and facts about the moisturizer that you should know to be true:


1. Myth: Moisturizers are not needed by women who have oily skin types. If used, it will make the skin more oily.  
Fact: Oily skin can also suffer from dehydration or dryness in the lining inside. Without moisturizer, oily skin will actually produce more oil to areas that lack moisture.

2. Myth: Only dry skin in need of moisturizer.
  Fact: All skin types need a moisturizer, because the skin's natural moisturizer only lasted for three hours. The rest, the skin needs help to maintain moisture, which can be obtained from the use of moisturizing products on a regular basis.
 
3. Myth: Regular use of moisturizer will actually clog the pores of the skin so the risk of triggering the formation of blackheads and acne.  
Facts: Moisturizers not contain oils that clog your pores, but containing water instead treating the skin pores. With a moisturizing, oil production can be controlled, the pores remain tightly and away from blackheads and acne.
 
4. Myth: Product moisturizer for oily skin will increase the water content of the skin.  
Fact: Well this was a new fact! Moisturizer will add and maintain moisture in our skin. Because moisturizer helps skin rehydration, bind water molecules in the skin layer, while preventing excess oil production.
 
5. Myth: Moisturizers are not suitable for use during hot weather or in tropical climates.  
Fact: Regional tropical climates such as Indonesia does have a high humidity level, but it does not mean that we no longer need a moisturizer. Skin moisture easily lost due to evaporation processes in the high air temperatures. Therefore, the skin should always be given extra moisturizers to avoid dry.
 
6. Myth: Our skin no longer need a moisturizer if you already use sunscreen.  
Fact: Sunscreens are useful to protect skin from ultraviolet rays. But we still need a water skin to maintain moisture levels. Therefore, a moisturizer is still needed. Apply a moisturizer before putting on sunscreen at least 10 minutes before outdoor activities, in the sunshine.
 
7. Myth: Moisturizers causes make-up quickly faded.  
Facts: Moisturizers handling can cause the make-up quickly faded. Use water-based moisturizer that actually controls the levels of excess oil, so the makeup will last longer, and looks smooth on the skin.
 
8. Myth: Moisturizers can indeed make subtle make-up stick, but the dust also attached.  
Fact: When the oil quickly bind bacteria through the dust and become blackheads or pimples, moisturizing just the opposite. Moisturizer to protect skin and prevent dust from entering into the layers of the skin through pores. Immediately wash your face and use a moisturizer after the move back outdoors. 

9. Myth: The skin is acne, if given a moisturizer will actually make it inflamed.  
Fact: This is not true! It is precisely when it is acne, skin needs moisturizer. Because the drug generally be dry skin acne. The use of moisturizer is essential to avoid dryness of skin. Choose a moisturizer that also contains antibacterial, salycilat acid, oil-free and are made for acne prone skin.
